1000bhp claim?

Post by Foxmeister » Sat Jul 16, 2022 3:11 pm

Just came upon this little chariot, it’s all in German so I can’t figure anything out but claims 1000bhp or more, but all looks very stick, possible gearstick spied says it is manual, does anybody know if it? How’s he got that figure, what’s been done?

Even the Gumpert Apollo race car that used a heavily modified version of this engine "only" developed 800 bhp. The shot under the bonnet looked like it was on standard intake. I didn't see any massive turbos sticking out. Meh. I'm calling bullshite.

Having said that, any car could in theory develop 1000 bhp for a fraction of a second before the con rods turned into spirals.

Exactly Shopp, as soon as I saw the intake standard I thought it’s doubtful

I’m sure it would be more recognisable also if it was legit

Suppose I can just say I have 900bhp also, I don’t have to prove <beep> lol

I'm sure I saw a video somewhere with another high powered car that was also on standard intakes, they actually showed the car doing a pull on the Dyno, but there was an engine view which was interesting. The whole airbox was flexing like hell, like it wanted to turn itself inside out.

I'm sure they were quoting 1000bhp or something similar.

Im sure ive read before that the RS6 is already on the limits in some areas, namely intercoolers and intake, so these need to be upgraded just to add any power really

The engine internals are good for 800 plus.

That’s ideal, just the gearbox shits the bed at the thought of it 😂
