Yes and it’s not all of it.
Will also need a radiator and hoses at some stage.
At the moment I do not have any oil leaks. Although I do have a very small water leak from the radiator.
Just attempting to totally future proof the car if it’s possible.
I am now “all in” on the car as I have invested a significant amount on my pride and joy.
Mark. Any luck on your gearbox enquiry ?
Hope you get sorted mate.

Hey Steve,
For the price I would grab this instantly: https://www.ebay.fr/itm/333864006956?ha ... SwHExgCHwk.
Regarding oem hoses they are difficult to find new. Have you tried Audi tradition?

This cooler came up previously. Looks good. Don't think there's any rush to buy, I get the impression it's one of their standard products.Classik wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 7:10 amHey Steve,

There was another company making the hoses, or some of them, at least. Rsparts? Something like that?

Radiators can be re-cored. Isn't there someone that has been used by someone else already?
I've never heard of this company but WOT Motorsport in Glasgow seem to list a ton of useful stuff.

Oil cooler not listed. I'd think if they could come up with a kit there would be a few guaranteed sales!

Many thanks for the responses.
Will look into all of the suggestions.

Hi Shopp, FWIW Rscarparts is mostly selling used parts, but I've seen refurbished items like the oil cooler. Not sure I would buy second hand hoses though, particularly when the hoses DIY presented in Matt's thread is working so well.. except if you have an urge to stay 100% original of course.

Re: Oil cooler and pipes
I might have got the company name wrong. Pretty sure there was a recent thread that mentioned a company making a new replacement pipe.

For info, I've spoken to RS Car Parts in Germany who have made an OEM like substitute for the supply pipework:

They'd also consider doing a return version but I'm waiting on more information. No idea on quality compared to the DIY versions posted above!

Re: Oil cooler and pipes
Hi Steve
I bought one hose from Rs car parts for my car 4b3317816c as I could not get this for love nor money in oem. I put a picture up on the oil cooler thread of mine once I got round to fitting it and I was impressed with the quality and the look of the part. If I had to buy a complete set I would be happy with them. You could get an oem oil cooler and the hoses from rs carparts so it will still look nice.
With reference to the radiator, there is a company called Viking radiators in Denham that recore, custom build etc. I used to do this for a living and worked with them on and off. The only thing with plastic tanked rads is the tanks often go brittle and once removed from the core they crack when fitting to the new core, so it will really be squeaky bum time when doing it, that’s even if a core is available for it.
The last time I looked they were still available from Audi Tradition, think it was about a grand.

Re: Oil cooler and pipes
Thanks Riggs. Very informative.
Will sit down in the next couple of weeks and see which items I can get hold of from the list.

If you are going to future proof as much as you can, you may as well go all out.
Not heard a dicky bird about the box since I said I didn't really want the whole car. Guess I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and get it rebuilt
