2004 RS6 Avant Front suspension Bilstein B16

Post by RS6C5AVANT81 » Fri Apr 08, 2022 4:22 am

I’m having trouble with my Front suspension- it’s very low!
I’ve recently purchased my RS6 (with 19” wheels)

The back of car is sitting fine- Height Approx 610mm from bottom of rear wing to lowest point of rear wheel rim.

The front however is sitting at a height of 585mm from bottom of front wing to lowest point of the wheel rim.

The wheels don’t catch on the front wings on full lock but I slightly scraped a speed hump the other day!

We’ve managed to adjust the previously fitted Bilstein B16 coilovers up by 20mm ish but now they are on max. And am worried the ride highly will drop slightly lower once springs settle. I was really looking for the car to sit at around 610mm at the Front which would give much better ground clearance.

Any ideas ? The B16’s on the car are about 9 years old looking through previous invoices. Are new front shocks / springs Req ? If so any recommendations on options ? which aren’t mega money? What suspension / heights are other people running with ?

Thanks again - James

My car on b16 is at stock height. You should be able to raise it to where you want it, unless you are going for the allroad look.
