I don’t disagree. There’s lots of good RS6s around, but they do need keeping on top of all the jobs.

I’ve never actually owned a BMW. For me, the 1997ish era was lovely, I don’t like anything they produce these days.

Yeah, I've got an E30 itch I think I will need to scratch.

Googling that says yes, I also like them.

Friend of mine bought an E30 M3 in red a few years back.

He liked it, but said it was also a huge disappointment - his memory said it was a really good car, but in the 25 years subsequent to that, cars have moved on so far that it did feel very inferior now. He didn't mind though - he bought it for what it was, not for what he wished it was, once he reset his expectations a bit.

Yeah, the E30 M3 is mythical, but ultimately 80's tech. Lots of cars of that era like that. You don't buy them for the performance. Look at the Countach. Pathetic perfs in today's terms.

I'd probably go for a E30 325i. Just clean lines. The summit of BMW design IMO.

Yes I think so shopp.the e92 m3s are gone crazy money here.i have a 520d g30 touring as a daily.am thinking maybe to just upgrade that to a 540i touring.either that or keep the 520 and get a manual evo 10.anything over 3litre here apart from newish cars are crazy road tax.the rs was 1800 a year
