Misfire detection disabled vcds vagcom
hello everyone I have my misfires which are deactivated, I did not find how to reactivate them I think it is following a reprogramming because of origin I have them but once reinjecting the function does not work any more I contacted the mapper he assures me that it has not touched, I must try to drive several kilometers + 10km to see if it works again??

Re: spleen ignition disable vcds vagcom
The misfire detection is only activated in certain circumstances. If you are seeing in VCDS that misfire detection is deactivated it's because the conditions aren't right yet. I can't remember exactly what the conditions are, but it won't be activated if the engine isn't at operating temperature for example. I'll have to have a look to refresh my memory. Maybe someone else knows.

return after a few days of driving, temperature ok 90 ° C no fault, the ignition failures are still off
Re: Misfire detection disabled vcds vagcom
What are you looking at? Measuring blocks 014 - 017?
How many misfires are logged for each cylinder?

that's it 15-16-17, no failure, and the 4th box is marked disabled, while with the original carto it is marked enabled

Re: Misfire detection disabled vcds vagcom
Take the car for a drive and log groups 014 and 015 (once the engine is up to temperature) to see if at any time the detection passes from disabled to enabled.
To me, it sounds like your tuner disabled misfire detection. I don't know much about tuning, but I don't think misfire detection should be disabled, unless the tuner thought that the tune might cause misfires.

Re: Misfire detection disabled vcds vagcom
I'm going to connect 15/16/17 while driving to see if it moves, I checked it on the on-board instrument I can see it live with the FIS controlled but at no time did I see it working enable, I also think it can be disabled for performance sake or risk of default
