the last trim replacement... push buttons for tiptronic
it seems I am coming to the end of the journey for sourcing and replacing the worn out interior trim on my 151,000km 6.
Maybe I'll do a before and after post when it's all finished.
I just received the new 5PR menu unit: the final pieces are the two tiptronic paddles on the wheel. not sure how you manage to scratch these, but someone did:
Looking at these pictures, I need to give the stitching a good clean!
I've found the codes:
https://audi.7zap.com/en/rdw/audi+rs6+r ... 419020/#11
4B0951528N5PR right
4B0951527N5PR left
Audi Tradition has one new.... is expensive and only the left one.
https://shops.audi.com/de_DE/web/tradit ... 27n-5pr-14
Have other people changed theirs?
Just logic check, these are what I need?
Am I mad?
Any advice on sourcing?

There used to be an upgrade for these. Maybe MTM or Sportec. Haven't heard anything about them for a long time. You could always get yours refurbed. In the last thread about the trim I posted a link to a company that refurbs soft touch buttons.

Really nice job Alex.
Looking really good.
And many thanks again for sourcing the mirror switch surround for me.
It’s the little bits that transforms the interior.

Re: the last trim replacement... push buttons for tiptronic
thanks guys. i've kept all the beathen up stuff in a box. When i'm 100% done i'll be a before and after.
Steve; no worries, my pleasure.
I forgot about ebay.de.... that's where i ended up finding the centre menu switch above.
looks like the total cost is EUR250.... I'm now at the point with this car when that kind of luxury seems too much.
The MTM or Sportec upgrade sounds interesting. I've been researching some choice MTM upgrades to keep the search going when I'm done, I guess the search is half the fun for me. cheers Shop

Re: the last trim replacement... push buttons for tiptronic
i've done some digging on a rainy Rotterdam morning.
you may remember this post:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=92977&start=15
one unbranded carbon version was this: i found the original Sportec C5 RS6 model brochure....makes for interesting reading:
http://swissfaktura.ch/sportec/wp-conte ... 357a5a.pdf
You can see the $$$ Sportec carbon version in the brochure. I have the aluminium trim and no carbon, so no carbon trim for me. I think it would look weird.
I think the next step is to find an audi tall variation which can be fitted to the original and get them refurbed to a soft-touch as Shop mentioned.
Anyone heard of anyone fitting a taller OEM button to the original?

Why don't you just buy those 2 news ones on ebay.de I linked to?

Re: the last trim replacement... push buttons for tiptronic
yeah, actually OEM is best. I did like the idea of a sportec or MTM period accessory, but if not, then OEM would be best.
I'll probably buy the EUR38 left and wait for bargain right to appear somewhere somewhen.
*done, left one bought
