In garage now : hub centric h&r 8mm spacers not fitting OZ

I'm in the garage now sorting the suspension.
The h&r hubcentric 8mm spacers don't fit inside the OZ rims.
The hubcentric insert is too deep.
Is this known?
Can I remove the insert that comes with OZ?
Here now and would love to get this sorted.

You can maybe see a couple of mm play here:

Have the OZ alloys got the correct spigot for your hubs? They are different for most cars.

I believe so.
I'll check with the supplier.
Are you also running h&r spacers?

I don't understand where they are fouling. Is it the cylindrical lip that extends too far into the spigot? It should be 5mm just like the hubs.

OK, It looks like it might be the tapered bit. I wonder why they made that bit so big.

Maybe you would be better off with 10mm spacers. That's what I recommend for the C5 anyway. At least with OE wheels.
For example:

you're right, it's the cylindrical lip that extends too far into the spigot.
I've measured the lip and it is 5mm like you said:
I guess it is as mentioned before and the issue is the spigot that was supplied with the OZ rims.
I was hesitant to go with 10mm as I'm running 9.5jx19 ET40. It's not that far off the arch now. I believe 8mm is the slimmest h&r do hubcentric.
I'll see if I have the right spigot, and if I can change them to fit.
because......
turns out the front dampers are done, they are all the way clockwise and bounce all over the place + the bump stop is shattered. They came with the car, are old, I lowered it (too low?), so I fugured it might be the fourth big hit (gearbox, IC, turbos+?=

).
I have to get it MOT'd in December so I'll have to sort it then.
Hopefully the front shocks can be rebuilt. I've read they are modular but I'll have to dig around for the invoice with all the docuemtns I got on sale, and if KW sell the modular parts I need.
There I was thinking that final bit of interior trim was going to be it!

It sounds like you've got the wrong spigot for your car - I've had OZ's before with H&R spacers (although on a B5 platform) and there were no issues. The spigot should replicate the OE wheel profile. Unless the spacers are for the wrong platform?

OK, sounds like its one or the other.
Both from the same supplier, I'll give them a call.

That's the correct spacer, so maybe it's the spigot that is wrong? Do the alloys fit to the existing hub ok (with the spacers?)

I hadn't checked that. I could take a rim off over the weekend.
I have the original rims to hand.
Is it logical that if the spcaers fit in the original alloys, then they should fit in the correctly spec'd spigot?

Yes they should fit, but I actually meant fit the OZ's without the spacers and check the fitment at the hub.
