System to rich.
Re: System to rich.
Cheers Shopp, this.
Re: System to rich.
That doesn't look right. Only goes up to 1 bar. You sure it's a fuel pressure gauge and not an air pressure / vac gauge ?

I'd expect a fuel pressure gauge to look more like this:

Re: System to rich.
Typical, thought that was what I bought lol.
Right I will need to order the correct one
So I take it that pic I put on earlier is the fuel pressure regulator? and where do I connect the pressure gauge too ?
Thanks.

Re: System to rich.
That’s an old fashioned jobbie for carb fuel pressure (typically <5 psi) and idle vacuum diagnosis, isn’t it?

Re: System to rich.
You need to connect the fuel pressure gauge between the supply pipe and the high pressure rail.
You test the pressure both with the vac pipe disconnected and connected from the regulator. The pressure should be 4.0 bar when vac pipe disconnected from the regulator and a 3.5 when it's connected. Approximately.
If you get a pressure gauge with a cut off valve then you can also check that you haven't got any leaky injectors by closing the valve when the system is pressurised. Engine off, obvs.

Re: System to rich.
Thanks lads will get a proper pressure gauge ordered.
Re: System to rich.
Are you sure it’s that high? I thought reference pressure was usually 45psi, 3 bar on EFI?Shoppinit wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 9:58 amYou need to connect the fuel pressure gauge between the supply pipe and the high pressure rail.

Re: System to rich.
I seem to remember. I’ll double check in Elsa.
