It’ll only line up one way when you assemble with the springs and seat. At least that was my experience on the pss9.
Thanks Ben,

Ill see when i re-assemble the lot.

Yeah. Just assemble it and it will probably be obvious what goes where.

Not ideal on axle stands, but its in....the first... :sleeping_2:
Ive set them (the fronts) 2 turns from softest, i like it firm...max is about 2.4 turns.
The rears set to 1,1 turn from softest, max is about 1,4.
So fronts and rears are set to about 80%.
Forgot to order a wheelnut, almost rounded one when i started.

Used an old bike tyre inside a wrench to prevent the shafts shock from turning when tightening the shocks topnut and not damage the shaft.
Havent got the special tool to do this.

There’s usually a hex socket in the top of the shaft so you can apply counter torque while tightening with a socket spanner.

Yes ,thats the way i got the old one out, which was a 18mm nut
But the nut that comes with the konis (lock nut with plastic lock washer) are 19mm, thats why my socket spanner doesnt fit in the rubber top bearing...
Ive tried to use the old nut but it has a coarser thread.

Hmm. That might be so, by what about your Mrs?

Anyway, bear in mind hard and soft is equally about performance, not fashion. On my Ultima, I run it full soft on the road since the road surfaces are never especially smooth, and then for the track, harder is better.

Running too hard reduces grip, on the road it’s just fashion to have suspension set hard, but it often produces a less balanced handling since the wheels start “skipping”.

You’ve gone way outside of the params the guys on RS6.com tested. Note that I started with their harder settings and then softened them last time I had the car on stands - 1 and 1/2 respectively were too hard. I could feel the car fighting the road rather than conforming to.

Mine on the Konis earlier today waiting to get on a ferry. You can see it sits nice and level. I wouldn’t want it any lower either.

Nice level indeed, do you remember which ride height you choose for the rears, top, mid, or low?
