^Same. I'm pretty sure it cost me a rotator cuff injury, too.

Thinking about it twice, it may be the other end of the cable which is causing trouble. You need to check on the diagrams if there's an equivalent bushing on the gear stick side and if yes I would indeed start here as this should be easier to reach. Hope that helps..

Farking hell, getting to the selector guff on the interior looks to be a massive task.

I'll start by inspecting the cables from underneath when the opportunity arises, then plan the interior job for when I do the OCD interior valet (seats out etc) and install a new radio.

For now Ill just put up with the slop, at least the lever is going where it should.
