2004 C5 RS6 Avant Build.

So, I purchased a 2004 Daytona Grey RS6 Avant, and took delivery in March.
It had the usual water ingress due to a poorly fitted lower screen trim, it was just resting on the screen. As a result, a swimming CCM and soaked carpet. The damp had caused mould to the headlining, and it had sagged. The cream / grey interior wasn’t my choice of colour either.
I replaced the headlining and all plastics with charcoal versions, and fitted a black interior. The carpet, when pulled back took over a week to dry! New CCM fitted.
The engine has a misfire, and the chain tensioner on bank 1 is rattling. I have purchased a pair of chain tensioners, chains, all top end seals, cam sprocket and the 52 camshaft carrier cap bolts.
The plan is to re-time the cams and belt.
I am doing a manual conversion, and I’ve purchased a complete 2001 C5 S6 (ANK) engine. I’m going to use the block and camshafts to build a fresh RS6 engine - I do have a spare short BCY engine.
I’m pulling the S6 motor on Wednesday. I’ll document things as I go on.
