Intercooler leak
Intercooler leak
So just had the timing belt and parts done and now have a coolant leak on the inter cooler.
Question, is that just a small radiator on the back of the ic or do I have to buy a full unit ?
Thanks.

Re: Intercooler leak
I see that you do. It's just an auxiliary radiator. Only Plusses and hot country cars had them. Just get it fixed or replace it. You could delete it, but that would be a shame on a Plus.

Re: Intercooler leak
Cheers Shopp, yip was thinking just to replace it but wasn't sure if it was part of the IC which after some looking through Google i see its not.
Finding one mite be a different story.
Thanks again.

Check the hose clamps. They continually come loose. How do I know this..........
I modified my headlights so that they can be easily removed which is a great help in keeping some of the connections tight.

All the hose connections are good I can actually see the water coming from one of the fins.IchBautAuto wrote: ↑Mon Apr 12, 2021 1:30 amCheck the hose clamps. They continually come loose. How do I know this..........

Re: Intercooler leak
On ifinterface. It's connected to the audi parts system I think & shows parts that have been superceded or are NLA.
This part shows as neither, so you might need to be patient and wait for the part to come in from Europe, but they are still listing it as available.
Although sometimes it is listed as available and then you ask and they realise that it's on the shelf at a dealers and some lad nicked it a while back. I have had that before.
Either way, a call to the Audi parts department will confirm for you.
