TPMS MHz

Post by anditsoundslikebells » Mon Mar 15, 2021 11:25 am

I'm buying some new TPMS and want to be sure I buy the correct ones. I've found conflicting info.

In thread:
"Different part numbers for C5 and C7. C5 are 4D0907275D and uses 315Mhz, C7 are 7PP907275F (433mhz)"
search.php?keywords=315MHz

on ebay:
"Audi RS6 2000 - 2008 TPMS Huf RDE001 Direct Fit 433MHz (NEW)"
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-RS6-200 ... 2991624010

I checked but couldn't find them here:
https://audi.7zap.com/en/rdw/audi+rs6+r ... 601080/#15

From the two options, I guess it's 315MHz?

Can someone share a link to a Huf TPMS that is correct for my '03?
(somewhere I've read another thread in the C5-sub but I can't find it)

Hurrah - one I can answer...

I took the tyres off my alloys on Saturday and the Audi p/n is 4D0 907 275 433mhz. I think they are now HUF RDE001.

I'm also interested as I'm having my wheels refurbished and I don't know how good the existing sensors are. Searching Autodoc for the 4D0907275 part number gives me Ridex 433mhz sensors at £ 28 each rising to £ 82.61 for HUF ones. Has anyone used the cheap type with success? Seems a big difference for a comparatively crude system that can be turned off easily.

I bought some Huf RDE001.

The auto doc ones sound like very good value. I’d try those if you’re sure they’re compatible.

Well I've double checked and they run on the same frequency and all the documentation says they're compatible with the OEM number, so I've ordered a set. Total including valve stems and VAT was £ 131.92 for 4, so £ 32.98 per corner. I don't want to run the car until cambelt is done, so waiting for my turn to borrow the tools, but will report back soon.

Has anybody tried these? https://tpmszone.co.uk/product/tx-s001- ... ms-sensor/

The Schrader sensors on autodoc also look very good value, and I've at least heard of Schrader before: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/schrader/14528209
