They're a very good alternative to OE Steve, 3rd set I've used over the past 9 years, no issues.

The Zimmies are good stuff.

Thank you both for your recommendations. I will order them very soon.
As previously mentioned the car is due for the annual service. So I will get the new discs and oe pads that I recently purchased done at the same time.
Zimmermans are a very good price compared to original discs.
Really appreciate and value your advice.
Ps the bulbs for the 3rd brake light arrived this morning. Will be nice to get the done as well

I have put the RS5 "flower" disks on mine - OEM ones £785 a set. They are plug and play.

Viper thanks for the info. Yours do look good. But have now sorted the Zimmermans.

I’m not a fan of the doily brakes.

Autodoc have a full set of RS6/C5 discs for £840.66 - I can only see the price of these going up, is it daft to buy a set to put on the shelf until needed?

Zimmerman £222 each at the moment.
I have always gone with genuine discs in the past.
But this time gone with Zimmerman.
By all accounts they are very good quality.

Not at all in my view. Initially it is a bit daunting but when the time comes not only are all the parts there ready to fit but you have every chance of finding them NLA if you are a JIT man.

I have rotors, pads, new alternator, fuel pumps, EGT sensors plus a used gearbox and torque converter, full timing belt kits, bufkin pipe etc etc. Except for the gearbox, every one of those is a dead cert to be used at some time.

This, plus genuine parts for these are NLA/being dropped constantly.

Zimmies on route to me. Get them fitted with the new pads when they arrive.
Just pads to fit on the rear. Discs and calipers and pads were replaced last year.
Rear pads look ok. But will replace them so original pads all round.

Huh, still waiting on a set of boot struts I ordered for another car to arrive from autodoc before I dropped £1k on a set of Zimmermann for the RS6, 3w in transit so far :(

Who did you order from on the end?

Autodoc have a track record for being terrible on delivery. I recall this from the s2 forum. Kit is good quality but the time scales painful
