Mine does the twist movement, not sure about the forwards and backwards though.

Mine doesn’t twist or rock back and forth.
So I presume it isn’t normal.

Definitely not normal. Probably a worn selector mechanism.

Selector mechanism sounds expensive... It works fine, but annoys the <beep> out of me.

They are probably the same for all A6. You could probably find a second hand one easily enough.

:? Here's another one.

Window clunk when going down, as in when it reaches its stop.

Anyone getting this, if not normal what's it a symptom of?

I'm pretty sure mine does that also. I've also replaced the mechanism when the window dropped into the bottom of the door, and I'm still sure it does this.

Thanks Mark. I guess I can put up with it and just imagine its not a clunk per se, more that the car is simply saying "Komplett"

Sounds exactly like mine. You need to dial down your paranoia slightly or you're not going to survive RS6 ownership. ;)

I'm slowly getting there with everyone's help. I actually leaned on it properly for the 1st time since I bought it last year. Quietly brutal.

The first time you floor it after taking it out the garage after winter I always wince expecting a problem 😆

Last year I blew the oil cooler, swapped failed suspension and blew a water line under the manifold so it got to the every drive I was expecting something and didn’t like leaving it running on the drive incase something else went wrong 🙈 let’s hope I ironed out those issues and can enjoy it this year
