Unless that is just my local AMD policy.

Re: Leak
Audi main dealer where I am located.
I have just been looking at the new water deflector fitted to my car. The plastic main section is the correct length.
However the sealing section does not reach the ends by about half inch. Thankfully I haven’t noticed any water ingress but it just looks naff.
On My old deflector the sealing section goes to the end on each side.
About to have a new windscreen fitted. So now is the time to get this sorted.
Talking to Audi in the morning. Then set off to hotel in Neston to get the two small oil leaks (fingers crossed) sorted.
1) transfer box rear seal
2) turbo oil drain pipe
Looking forward to the drive having done the pedal box fix.

Re: Leak
Just typical. Arrived at unit 20
Checking car over. Parking sensors that were playing up have decided to play ball.
Haven’t been working properly for about a month. Continuous beep when selecting reverse.
Threatened them with a technician who knows what he is doing. Hey presto started working again.
Hope the leaks get cured tomorrow.
Then back home and get the new windscreen installed.
Had a really enjoyable three hour drive after the pedal box fix.
Looking forward to the drive home.
Ps some stunning RS6 cars in the car park. Including a lovely grey 02 plate C5 with cream interior and carbon trim. Original owner from new with 39K on the clock.

Re: Leak
Lander. Grizz informs me that the plastic water deflector is ok. Apparently it is the actual windscreen that is the problem.
It will soon be sorted.

Lander. New Audi windscreen being fitted Thursday afternoon 22/07/21.
The new screen looks very similar to the pictures you posted. Nothing like the one that was supplied by auto glass.
I guess it’s the “you get what you pay for” syndrome
Hopefully another problem resolved.

Re: Leak
No gaps at either end.
Really happy with the expert fitting
Previous windscreen was the fault
And it was badly fitted.
Just pleased it is back to how it should be.
Got rid of the gaps each end and got rid of the 3 stone chips. Happy days.

Re: Leak
Thanks you to you all for your help and advice in solving this problem.
My tip for anyone needing a new windscreen.
Do not buy anything other than a genuine windscreen.
It’s not worth the hassle.

Re: Leak
Hi Matt. Audi originally quoted £550:00
When I went to pay for it the price was £120 lower. Which is what it cost for fitting.
So end result was £550:00 inc fitting.
And good luck to you if you need a new rear screen.
Had fitted a new rear and it exploded when de mister was switched on.
Auto glass sent another one and that exploded
So re installed old screen and everything was ok.
Guess same advice still stands. Use a original screen.

Re: Leak
Yes I was very happy.
I didn’t know a non genuine screen had been installed originally.
Car was in for roof rail gutter repairs. Paintwork etc.
To do the repairs properly I was advised that the screen had to come out. It had a couple of small stone chips.
So I said put a new one in.
My mistake I should of said put a new genuine screen in.
