Tinted rear view mirror - is the tint escaping?

Post by simonmcc » Wed Jan 27, 2021 8:40 pm

I know this is pretty hard to see, but my rear view mirror & one wing mirror both look like this, is this just the tint failing? Seems to have got worse in the recent cold spell.

There was a group buy recently and a lot of us replaced our rear view mirror glass with a much safer auto dim option.

Sorry to hijack, but anyone got any tips for getting the new mirror back on? For 2 nights straight I've busted the tips of my fingers trying to rotate the bloody thing on. I'm about to bust out the cardboard and pliers.

Yes I had to use mole grips and packing to rotate mine. They are tight.
Good luck.

Shop, if you’re still having issues getting hold of him let me know and I’ll text him.

Cool. Yeah, that would be good. Thanks. No huge rush though, I barely drive the M3 these days.
