Looks like you have to remove the washer bottle:

I wouldn't try moving the body or the pipes.

How you getting on with this?

Sorry I didn’t reply to this Ben. 😳

Anyway, the answers is I haven’t done anything with it yet as I wanted to get it up to Unit20 to see if they could shed anymore light on it before I start pulling things apart. Unfortunately they only came up with “Abs fault, g201 pressure sensor, circuit failure”.

So now I’m going to take the ABS module out and send it off for testing.

Do we know if the car is still drivable whilst the module is out? I seem to remember reading somewhere that it was however I don’t think this was information from this site. 😬

I think you can drive it but you won't have ABS or ESP obviously. Good opportunity to practice your old school cadence braking.

🤣 I haven’t had ABS and ESP since the problem started so it shouldn’t be an issue. 🤨👉🪵

Little update on this, I got the module off. It came out without needing to remove the washer tank. The bolts were all accessible with the arch lining moved, I did remove the three retaining bolts on the washer reservoir to wiggle it around and that gave me the room to manoeuvre the unit out. I’ll still take the washer reservoir out for a clean, I just wanted to see if it could be done with it in place. 🤪

It’s getting collected tomorrow and sent off to ECU Testing and I’ll hopefully have it back next week.

Cool. Let's hope they can fix it. Do they charge you if they can't?

I've just gone through the same process with mine. The symptoms were, abs & traction control light, the abs activating sometimes at low speed & light brake pedal pressure, front left wheel sensor fault etc.
I sent the module off to Ecu Testing, actually they collected it, it did take slightly longer than expected, only a couple of days longer. Received the unit back, fitted it & drove the car on a 260 mile trip to unit20 ( where it still is ) without any problems. All is good,
I think they charge about £45 plus postage if they can't find a fault, if they repair it's £200 plus vat plus postage.
All in all a very good service.

🤞 Had a call from ECU testing today to say that there was a fault but it has now been repaired. Hopefully that will translate when refitting and that will be another job ticked off the list. 👍

And in other news my reconditioned ABS module seems to have done the trick. 😎
