Gearbox issue.

Post by Gav66 » Wed Nov 04, 2020 8:44 pm

So problem with the box, this has been happening more and more since the weather getting cooler.
The gear selector on the dash goes through all drive selected except D, all the rest no problem, you can see the D flickering when trying to select it.
Drives OK in S and manual.
Box was serviced 6k a go.
When I try and move it back into D after manual all go red.

So after looking through old posts I'm guessing the first 2 are the harness and the other one is a solenoid.
Anyone know audi part numbers for these ?
Any help very much appreciated.

Ps when you click on the pic it straightens up.

Gav.

I’d start by changing the F125.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

Get it from audi mate it’s about £150 so it’s cheap for a rs6 part

So contacted Audi today and was looking for the part 01L919821B which he said was transmission range sensor but also said thats not the F125 switch which is part number 4bz927156fb gearbox control unit.
He described the 01l919821b as a plate with a cable on it which I think is what is the f125 swith could someone clarify this for me pls before I order it.

Cheers.
