Ok. Doesn’t sound like water ingress then.

So just poured water into the left hand side of the scuttle tray, checked inside the car and there's a small dribble coming down the right hand side of the footwell.
Not loads but enough.
Is it the ecu that sits in the top left hand corner ? Can I just unplug that and take the box off and check the seal on the bottom of it and clear out the crap thats sitting behind it.

So got the ecu box out and all the crap that had built up over the years.
All though you can't see it in the pictures it sits low in the left hand corner and although there is a lip around the gasket I think it was building up and probably going in there, but I also noticed that the grommet for the bonnet cable is a fraction loose as in you can move it very easily...mite be going in there ???

Yeah, clean it up and put a new gasket on there. Do the cabin air intake one, too, while you are at it.

New Tcu arrived yesterday and fitted, ordered 1 day got it next can't complain at that.
All seems good started car this morning after temps of -2 and no errors. Fingers crossed.
Phoned the local revo tuner regarding getting it mapped to suit the revo map on the ecu which they said revo don't do but they could get the files from a place in Manchester and upload thru the obd port?
Now on to the next problem!!!

Sounds like they're talking about the ECU, not the TCU. Highly unlikely you'll be able to flash a TCU mod through OBD.

My thoughts exactly. Thanks for your help Shopp sorting this problem out, without this site and the people on it we would be spending 1000's on repairs that we could be sorting ourselves with help from people like yourself.
Thanks again for your help.
