Cream interior

Hi guys
I’m toying with the idea of dropping a cream interior into my red RS. I think it will look very smart against the red with the aluminium trim. I presume this would have been an option?
I’ve seen cream seats with black pipping, cream seatbelts, headlining and cream door cards. Does anyone know if there was an option for a cream carpet? Where there any other cream options.
Does anyone have any pictures of a red C5 with cream interior please?
Cheers,
Chris.

I have a black and cream interior, the differences from memory are:
Seats
Seat belts
Arm rest
Door cards
Headlining and pillar trims
I'm not sure if the roof plastics like handles and light surround are the same
The carpets are the same regardless of interior.
There may be other cost options if you go for the high end leather interior which is a tan/brown.

Thanks mate.
I haven’t seen the tan interior.

I think it was referred to as 'Cognac' and may have only been on the plus cars.

Assume you mean the standard option of silver with black piping? Personally my favourite and for us here, very practical in the hot weather. A friend has full black in a black car and stunning but I wonder how it will fare in the summer.
All the items that Puggie mentioned are included in that package. The Avus cars seem to come with black interior so all that gets changed. I'd suggest that you stay well clear of light carpet or anything that gets near hands. The B5 RS4 in Australia initially came with a near white interior that was very quickly changed to dark grey steering wheel and gear knob after a press day. Your scheme sound great to me.

Thanks for all the info guys and those pictures of your interior look great.

I made a passing comment on a FB post a few days ago and have been offered by three people an exchange for their cream interior for my black.

Black does look good. I have both here. Running with the black at the moment. I did a full change from silver to black including hood lining and door trims. If I put the silver back in it will only be the seats. The rest will stay black.

I think all colours of interior look good in this car. I would only change if one was worn
You have too much time on yours hands mate (not that I’m jealous or anything)

Really good to see some vibrant colour (especially in this world). We seemed to get Blue, Avus and maybe a black or two in the official imports, at least that is all that you seem to see. Lack of imagination. The reds, yellow and greens brighten up the place a bit, albeit don't know how the C5 shape wears those colours in real life.

Sadly I don’t really have that much time to myself, however I am starting to get some back as my boys are getting a bit older now. I even treated myself to a fishing season ticket this year.

The roads in the UK are full of dull coloured cars too. Personally I like a car that pops and stands out. The Audi Red is a cracking colour, suits the C5 and relatively easy to keep clean. I think the cream will really stand out against the red from a distance and brighten up the cab during the dark winter months.
I’m toying with the idea of a black roof to as I think black roofs look good on red cars.
My other car isn’t exactly subtle either. This is a UK manual 300zx. She flips between her standard blue to gold and then purple.

The red does look good. It will go well with either silver or black interior

I would keep the roof red mate. New cars suit it. The C5 might end up looking a bit “fast and furious” and not in a good way. I wanted a nogaro blue rs6 but couldn’t find one. My old b5 suited the bright colour too always liked bright cars these are a couple of my old ones.

Generally I dislike light coloured interiors - but I have to say on the red RS' and with the dark carpet, it really does look good.

Loving the VR6! No school like the old school.

I took a Carrado out for a test drive back in the late “90s. The owner took it for a good blast then pulled over to let me jump in the hot seat. As soon as we got out, with the engine still running, the smell of fuel hit me. Took a look underneath and it was pissing fuel out the filter. To this day I’ve never seen anyone get from one side of the car to the other to turn the engine off, I swear the owner jumped over the roof.
Yes, there’s no place on the road for a 40 year old driving anything that looks fast and furious.
