I guess it’s like any job, once you’ve got the right tools and you’ve done it countless times you can do it really quickly whilst blindfolded.

I think the C5 is a bit easier, for my D2 S8 it's about 5 hours!
(Though someone we know who's a real D2 expert reckons to do it in 40 minutes!)

Fingers crossed for you Chris. Audi tech recently told me that disconnecting the battery resets everything.
That was when I went to him for the cluster backlighting issue.
So after disconnecting the battery for +24hrs, then reconnecting, retesting and clearing all faults, I took her for a test drive, a bit of fuel and more test driving. The procedure seems to have done the trick as my engine code has remained clear. 🕺
Unfortunately the ABS code has returned so I will get that booked up with MRC as soon as I’m comfortable that the engine code has gone for good. I’ll also ask them to take a look at the ecu to ascertain if she has been chipped at some point.

Feeling very relieved at the moment. Thanks for all your help guys.

That ABS error definitely has the strong aroma of a failing F125.
Personally, depending on the mileage you do, I'd ignore it until it actually causes a problem - usually limp mode.

Thanks for the advice. 👍
She’s my daily but I only do 4K miles a year max. She had a full 20k service when I brought the car in May, so providing I don’t have any failures between now and then my next scheduled appointment isn’t for some time.

Keep clearing it and scanning for it reappearing, it'll give you a feel for how quickly it happens.
