Car seems to drive perfect
I turned the tpms off so was expecting this one.
All other item on scan no faults found.

Cool. Nothing very serious there. Clear them all and see what comes back after a while.

Thank you Shop. Just what I needed- some expert advice.
Scared the <beep> out of me when I first saw the error codes.

I'd sleep happily if that's all I saw on a first scan.

That's the way to have a happy RS6 relationship, Don't ask - Don't tell! Once you get VCDS most will find stuff they never knew existed before.

IchBautAuto Fully agree. Since retirement last year I now have time to spare. So decided to lavish even more time on my pride and joy.
Also needed a hobby ?

Performed a second scan. Cleared all faults logged individually.
Rescanned again. All clear except for 1 fault HVAC Air quality sensor faulty (G238)
Presume this did not clear because it is a actual fault. So needs sorting.
Really happy with the results and will rescan in about a month to see what comes back

That was my only fault when I first bought the car. I bought a new one. Think it’s faulty again now. It’s the appendix of the RS6. Useless appendage.

Thank you shopp. Now I know I have a fault. Will have to get it sorted depending on access.
If it’s a bugger will have the garage do it lol.
Had enough of scuffed knuckles. Don’t want anymore lol.
Really impressed with VCDS.

Shopp. Found some of your old info on this back in 2015.
I believe part no is G238 - 4B09076559A
Is the location inside the car close to the cabin air filters. Or under the bonnet ?
In 2015 was about £90:00
Cheers mate.
Ps car just been serviced. Will check if the cabin filters were replaced.

It’s in the air intake under the pollen filter IIRC. You get to it from the engine bay anyway.

Pretty sure that's the exact same sensor that I have in my S8, and indeed the same fault code I had a while back.
It's not a problem really as it only controls the automatic recirculation function, but if you want to fix it for free try taking it out and cleaning it VERY VERY carefully.
DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF THE SENSOR SURFACES INSIDE AND DON'T USE CHEMICALS OF ANY SORT!

Once you have it in your hands you'll find it has a cover that unclips fairly easily exposing the sensor elements.
Chances are there's some dirt or debris in there, just blow it away or if it needs more effort use an air duster or a totally clean small soft artists brush.

I just brushed all the rubbish out of mine and it's now working perfectly with no errors.
