If anyone can help. I have just got new koni shocks to fit with original springs for my c5 rs6 avant. I bought the springs through this site after a member messaged me. Coming to fit them today and I’m having issues. They are replacing my old kwv1 set up so I knew they would look different. However I’m not sure they are the correct springs at all at the moment. Starting on the rears they don’t seem to fit with the original top mounts at all. Can anyone help if the pics uploaded correctly.

Top pic shows the springs I was told were original drc set up etc. Second pic shows the rears against the kw rears. As you can see the kw spring is wider and sits in the old top mount. The black ones sold as original don’t seem to match at all or sit in the top mounts. Neither do they sit in anyway on the koni shocks.

While I haven’t stripped the front off they seem far too wide for the top mount there and the bottom of the black springs don’t sit on the new koni shocks.

I have a feeling I’ve been supplied incorrect springs hopefully in error or have I got it wrong

They don't look like my DRC springs, IIRC. I'll see if I've got a photo.

Those rears look HUUGE. Odd.

I found a photo of my front springs:

Can't find one of the rears at the moment. I'll keep looking. Pic here from RS6.com:

Another photo here:

Certainly the rears don't look much different in diameter to the fronts.

Count the coils, too.

So would you say the narrower ones are front and wider rear ? Or just totally wrong. The lad I got them from says he is 100% sure they are correct

Hard to say because of scale, etc. but the rears look wrong to me. Not the right number of coils, not the right shape. Compare to the RS6.com photos.

The fronts don't look right either because they don't have the smaller diameter first coil. Compare to my DRC springs.

This might help. This is the kw rear spring alongside the ones I’ve been supplied as original drc springs.

Another set here:

Seems obvious to me that they are completely different springs.

Ok so on this forum guides it shows this as the rear original. Looks like a wider spring with 5 coils. The Wider one I have been provided only has 4 coils

The front in our guides are narrower with 6 coils I think

With the narrower ones I’ve been provided having 7

What I have looks like a golf style or similar and totally wrong for the rs6.

I did that guide. That's my suspension in the photos.

... not even:

Complete unknown where they came from. Not an RS6 it seems.
