Out of curiosity checked my oil and coolant levels this morning. Both oil and coolant levels at maximum.
Due for service in April so very happy with both levels.
Whilst I was at it ran a autoscan. All clear except central locking both front doors won’t safe.
For a 18 year old car IMO pretty amasing.

Nice. The trick is staying on top of any little issues before they become big ones.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

Yes. I saw your other post on front and rear diff and transfer box oil change.
That will be my next job.
Hadn’t thought of it until you mentioned it.

Great! If it can give some hope the job has been done twice here without having to pull the engine out, it's just 'a bit' of a pita and you'll need to sacrifice an allen key... ;)

The following tutorial is for the A8 but it should be a similar job for the RS6 : http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articles/ ... stall.html
RS6 C5 Avant 2003 Daytona Grey
Loba 650 turbos - Wagner IC - 200 cells cats - Milltek cat-back - Hotchkis bars - Bilstein B16 - MTM Wheels - oem coolant cap

This pipe was one of the triggers for my second engine out event. I naively/stupidly didn't do it the first time.

Ok talking of being naive. Had the engine out about 3 years ago to replace the power steering hoses.
Wish I had done the buffkin pipe at the time. But at the time I didn’t know it was a common problem.
In hindsight should have put a post on here asking what work should be done while engine was out.
