It's about 4 years since the last cambelt change on my RS6, but the cars only done 12k miles since this was done.

Should I still get it changed or can I wait a bit longer as there's not been much wear on the current cambelt?

Also what's the going rate for a cambelt change these days if I do go ahead?

hello to you the first expired mileage or years for the shot years you can ride with some time but at your own risk builders expect an average of 4 years with horses and the couple on a car like ours I would take not the risk at us in concession audi the intervention costs 2500 € deposited rests with all the rollers

I wouldn't mess about . I go off age as I only do a couple of thousand a year . I dunno what the going rate for labour is as I do all the work on mine myself, but a belt kit with tensioner, waterpump , thermostat and all the bits and Bob's is around the £500 mark through TPS .

I don't do many miles in mine either. I'll probably change my belt after 5 years.

I'm doing the same. <15k, but 5 years on the belt next month so will be doing it imminently. Although 200 miles to do on it this afternoon.

for the part I got it myself kit distribution + water pump 350 € + more or less 100 € liquid cooling oil filter oil and other, 1 day of work

Mine was done 4 years ago but has only covered 7k since then in mileage so I’m happy to sit on it for a little while longer. Being in the trade I’ve seen cars at 120k-150k and 10 years old on original belts, one that stick to mind was a Clio 182 on 130k and he tracked it regularly!

Mine was done last year cost just under £1000 parts and labour and vat. Audi parts but not Audi labour.
Always worked on the basis of 40000 miles or 4 years whichever came soonest.
