Exhaust flexi pipes.

Post by audi_driver79 » Wed Jul 17, 2019 9:08 am

Hi Everyone,

It looks like I have attempted one too many speedhumps and I will have to replace the flexis. I am getting it on a lift later to have a look. I have read this post:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=123494&start=15

But was just wondering if anyone has found some better replacement sections for the OEM exhaust that dont create a restriction and dont have to be adapted due to the difference in diameter? TIA.

Ok just an update. Got the flexis replaced even though only one was blowing. Went to an exhaust specialist garage an hour away and they did this within 2 hours. Reasonable price too.

It was £200 all in which I thought was fair considering it saved alot of labour and was done in a few hours. I think if you take it to a decent exhaust place they should be able to match the flexis.

Very reasonable that, certainly beats taking them off for repairs!

Hi there audi_driver 79, what and where is the place you took the car to for the flexi replacement? Also, was the mid section of the exhaust they are fitted to standard or a
stainless Milltek?

Thanks
Julian

Sorry for the late reply it was Exhaust a Fix in Darlington. My exhaust is still a standard one.
