Yeah more importantly - HAS anyone checked on Bam?

Good to see the progress Bilko. Have you managed to take it for a drive yet to unleash all the torgues?

Done about 10 miles in it on trade plates to the body Shop and back, the exhaust when open is comical, the seats are superb. Didn’t give it full beans as the meth tank was empty. I was pleased that it drove straight and true after all the suspension work though.

Has anyone got a spare rear number plate surround with the fog lights in they want to sell? Bam deleted them and I think my MOT tester will think I’m taking the mick what with the exhaust :biggrin3:

Those seats surprised me how comfortable they were, didn't think they'd be like that.

Little update, not done a lot as the weather has been pants for months now. Fixed water leak in car and got 14 litres of water out. Fitted new door locks both sides and now the current drain has gone :) Managed to pick up a second hand number plate surround so have a fog light now. Got it MOT'd no problem but been waiting for an alternator from TPS as on back order. Day off tomorrow so hopefully weather permitting i'll fit the new alternator only £606 but get £120 back for the old one.

Any pictures of the engine bay, or perhaps some shots of the build with the engine out? It's got a fair amount of work done to it!

Goggle it mate there’s a sales add with all the info by the original owner-engine bay doesn’t look all that different apart from losing the air box

Engine bay looks shocking, If I finish work in daylight I'll take some pictures but you won't be impressed.

I've not been around the C5 forum regularly for a while - took a short sabatical in a C6 recently but it's not the car the C5 was.

Which brings me to the reason for my post - this was our RS6 demo model at Harper & Hebson Audi in Carlisle when it was new, reg no "20KEN" and it was the first RS6 I drove. Such a memorable machine - the only negative issue I had with it was the four-spoke steering wheel with thumb mounted tip controls.

Pleased to see it's still around and being fettled.
