Front suspension banging
Re: Front suspension banging
^that’s what failed DRC is like. Shocks must be knackered.

Re: Front suspension banging
I have a similar problem on poor roads. H&R coilovers fitted when I bought the car 7 years ago.
Just had upper and lower suspension arms replaced. After looking at the comments on here now considering upper mounts and upgraded springs. Failing that new Bilstein.
Got to sort it as this spoils what is an amasing car. My pride and joy.

H&R are awful, saggy bone shakers.

Re: Front suspension banging
Shoppinit totally agree. The annoying thing is I have been trying to rectify this problem for ages with a local garage.
I have even taken the technicians out for drives
On poor roads. So they could see (and feel ) the very poor ride.
Have had all the work done that had been suggested at significant cost.
Not once has anyone informed me that the shocks could be the problem.
Hopefully this will all be sorted very soon with the new suspension pss9,S and top mounts and poss bushes.
Years of thinking that I have to live with a very rough ride.
Joined this site recently. Read a lot asked a few questions got lots of very knowledgeable and informative advice.
Cannot thank all you members enough.
So looking forward to a nice drive.
Many thanks once again.

Re: Front suspension banging
All done. Bilstein b16 pss9,s fitted with top mounts and bushes. Now have a superior drive. The 170 miles back home was a real pleasure.
The H&R coilovers that I inherited with the car was the problem. Mind you they have been on the car for quite a few years. May have just been worn out.
Love the Bilsteins.
