Think there tte 1200 snails looking at them-I’m not too sure about the rest I’ll ask them and see if they reply! So much more room with a manual but I can’t bring myself to do it!

Possibly, but they'd have to be small as that's just part of the carbon scoop (look at the 1st pic).

Maybe going without air filters is the engine equivalent of bareback.

It's brave. Maybe they're planning on doing a rebuild every 1k miles, could even be a race engine?
Taking a closer look at the pic bum_bum posted, there does look like a sleeve inside the carbon shroud, but that could just be a stepped collar.

Even on a race engine, little excuse for no filters in this day and age.
A marine engine with no filters is ok, mebbe this is an amphibious RS6?

No, I don’t think it’s DavePerc’s.

I’ve got an old friend who’s been running no filter on his starlet glanza for about 5 years including a couple of ring trips no bother.

We all mocked him and warned of the consequences but so far it doesn’t seem to have had any negative effect, bloody quick too!
