Front Brake pads
Front Brake pads
Hi folks
I just wanted to know if anyone has recently fitted new front pads?
What ones have you gone for and from who have you purchased them from?
I rang my Tps for genuine set and the have quoted me around £345
I’m kinda set on DS2500 and have got really good price for them but was reading on here that they don’t come with sensors? What have people done when fitting these pads to overcome the pad wearing light on the dash?
Thanks in advance

Re: Front Brake pads
Clearly need new pads - you've driven into a field (though a very nice one!!)

Re: Front Brake pads
I reckon DS2500 would be fine in terms of performance.
Pretty sure the OE pads don’t come with sensors either. Just buy some from ECP.

Re: Front Brake pads
Or snip and join the original sensor? As long as your in the habit of checking them occasionally no need for sensors!
Re: Front Brake pads
The sensors pop out anyway. If the old one is ok just use that.

Re: Front Brake pads
I have just fitted Hawk HPS performance pads on the front bought from RB Racing Rotors, have found them to be very good low dust and no squeal that you will get from the Ferodo DS. Look on the Hawk performance website, they have lots of pad options for the front and rear.I went for street option as not racing the car, certainly worth a look

Re: Front Brake pads
They’ll be just like all the other cheap pads I suspect. Let us know how you find them.

Re: Front Brake pads
Done a fair few miles on the Ferodo Premiers and got them all round. I would say not as much bite as OEM plus I havent cooked them or anything but for day to day driving and a few quick stops I think they are acceptable.

Re: Front Brake pads
I asked someone in the know the same question today as having new rears done.
The answer was stick with OEM.
