C6 ?
C6 ?
I noticed many of you guys are long time owners of the C5....
Have any of you had any urges to swap to a C6 ? I know several have made the swap, but are no longer around in this section to ask why they did so, and I don't feel like popping into other sections where I am out of place
One guy I did chat to, who I bought my discs and pads from after he made the change said the difference between the 2 cars was immense, far greater than he ever thought.
For me, it's simply the cost that stops me I guess. Although they have come down to around £20-23k for a good one, well looked after, it's still a bit rich for me. I also didn't like the look of them to start with. Arches didn't appear flared, aggressive enough, but the more I see them, the more they grow on me.
I've just spent 4 days in the peak district with mine and it was a great experience ! Perfect car for the job and I have never seen so many 6's in an area ! They were everywhere ! At least a couple each day crossed my path, but I was the only C5
And an average of 19.6mpg for the entire 600+ mile trip, I was fairly impressed !
So thoughts on the C6 ? Anyone driven them and can give more of an insight on the differences ? Worth starting to save for ?

It's because they're fugly.

As above.
I rejected my 5 coz of issues. Had the 6 for 7 years now, no issues really...and still love it.
C5 - looks and sound = awesome. C6 - more modern, IMO a better car all round and no where near as fragile.
Should you change? IMO yes...stage 2 it = 750bhp/1000nm which is ALWAYS nice to experience.
I love the 5...but a 6 is a step in the right direction (aka a 7 ).

Re: C6 ?
Other than a well sorted, black with same optics 'loon, I'm just not feeling the C6...not much road presence IMO. Way, way less problematic than the C5 agreed (wish the 6 speed 'box would fit mine ) but I'm thinking it'll be a hop over to the C7 next for me.
Re: C6 ?
Unless you get an oil leak...
The S6 C6 looks better than the RS6 IMO. I'd have one of those if the thought that there was a model above it didn't irritate me so much.
/edit: but one of the ones with the engine that doesn't Hari Kari.

Got to admit, it's the black on black that I have seen that is tempting me more and more !Weiß-sechs wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2019 12:47 pmOther than a well sorted, black with same optics 'loon, I'm just not feeling the C6...not much road presence IMO. Seems ones with the oil leak issues and cooler pipes sorted with 750+bhp and more reliability are getting cheaper and cheaper, it's making it kind of tempting.
I currently drive mine daily and other than the initial visit to MRC for the map and all the niggly issues sorting out, I haven't really spent a great deal on it (Let's forget fuel)
But at the back of my mind is always the thought of something big going to go. I don't hear so many issues with the C6 and I don't fancy the idea of paying the costs of a decent C6 just to keep the C5 on the road, somehow that doesn't seem the clever thing to do ?
I'll likely hold onto the C5 in all honesty, just talking out loud to people that listen, my girlfriend just nods occasionally and pretends haha !

Re: C6 ?
Is that an RS6 though? Looks like the arches are different.
/maybe it’s the camera angle.
