I too went from C5 to C6 and just as the others said, the C5 is special and has a distinct place in my heart and after owning 2 C5 RS6 i can say that i know them very well, as both had at some point issues and the conclusion is that the C6 is much better in terms of being used as a daily drive without fearing that something could go wrong, it takes abuse so much better and doesn't feel that sensitive. With the C5 there was always something to fix, not major things and not that i disliked fixing it, on the contrary, but slowly but surely before realizing it had become a garage queen and was trying to protect it as much as i could and not driving it as much as i wished.

The C6 was much more easier to drive in city traffic, wasn't suffering as much when outside was +40C, AC was super cold within that ambient temperature, was more comfortable and gave me a much stronger feeling of confidence.

I would only buy again a C5 if i could use it as a weekend car, a collection car, don't buy it to use it daily would be my advice. It is looking better than the C6 and stands out and that is why is so special, the engine sounds better, but it's just not that docile as the C6.

I sold my C5 two years ago and missed it sorely. So I’ve just got another one. I did consider the c6 but it just doesn’t do it for me. The older style seems spot on. And a well looked after one will hold and increase in value over the next few years anyway.
