Maybe new beginnings of an old venture .

Post by Ajc » Mon Apr 08, 2019 8:48 pm

Ok , so a few years back I had a small business fabricating speed parts , primarily for the Ford community but also for the vag and bagged scene . I'll not bore you all with the whys and hows . But I jacked it in after being sold out by a supposed friend, so as every man does . The toys came out the pram and I shut it down .
Recently, I've been building a few bits here and there for my bosses race team and the bug is back . So , I already have a few things lined up for my own car like , a way better intake solution , breather set ups, manifolds and small odds and sods . But as much as I'm a huge fan of function over form , I'm also a sucker for carbon ( full carbon , non of this carbon skinned crap ) . Once up and running and tested on my own car , I may start too offer parts again if it would be of interest to anyone . Suggestions of possible builds in carbon or metal would be greatly appreciated. I'll keep everyone updated as to where I'm upto with the whole venture aswell , if anyone interested that is .
Cheers Al

How are your tubular exhaust manifold manufacturing skills? Not many alternatives to the standard cast "log" about...probably as there's buggar all room round there!

That's certainly something that will be on the list of things too look into , even if I can just increase the tube size and match the ports ( unless they already are that is ) . It's all going too give gains isnt it . Plus perhaps an external gated version

A nice alloy undertray with some additional venting in? This type of upgrade is very popular on the jdm scene if only for more robust protection.

An intake solution would be good, something like the Apikol and Dahlback versions, love a bit of cone filter action.
Maybe some intercoolers? Is their room for a big front mount?

Carbon kevlar undertray FTW. Carbon - because carbon. Kevlar because it's bullet proof.
Or actually all kevlar.
Or even just a well made & trimmed GRP one.
