So with my car getting a clean bill of health by mr mot and summer fast approaching I’m looking to tidy a few bits up before getting her back on the road.
My alacantara root lining has started coming away and sagging near the back and it looks terrible. I’ve tried the spray glue and paint roller tricks in the past but nothing seems to last so I want to remove the roof board and get it sent to a specialist to redo the lot.
Had a quick look in the car can’t really tell how it comes down, anybody done one before?
Removing roof lining board
Re: Removing roof lining board
They're not too bad too do . you have the piller sections that need to come out down the length of the car . Various screw , torxs bits hidden behind airbag labels and grab handles . Pry them off gently as they have the metal clips attached and they bend out of shape easily. Then remove the lights in the roof as I seem to recall there being a screw behind one or two of them . Sun visors off and gently lower it down . The headlining has a few clips on it too so get your hand behind it as close too them as you can and push down too release them .watch the wiring for the lights ect . Then Carefully slide it out the back .
Cheers Al
