Window mechanism
Re: Window mechanism
Not entirely sure what would be the difference but mine did not have these green plastic bits - like in the video attached. Mine just clipped in in to the one attached to the line and screw on top of it. Unless someone done the mechanizm before and did not put them on.

Re: Window mechanism
Yup "double glazing" all around
Re: Window mechanism
Thanks Viper just order that kit you linked to, not paying TPS £110 plus vat again.

Re: Window mechanism
All done, no dramas once i watched this video to get the cables over the rollers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqIWUrI2VFE&t=664s i know it's a BMW but the rollers are the same. Also i used all the original Audi plastic bits as they looked much stronger and better made than the supplied ones.

Re: Window mechanism
Well done, you were relatively lucky that it was the line broken as that is "relatively" easy to replace.
Mine was one of the nylon rollers shattered and that's a right royal PITA.

Re: Window mechanism
Can you buy the rollers HPsauce? They appeared to just be rivited to the metal frame.

Re: Window mechanism
No idea, but when you look how they're fixed and the stresses they get I wouldn't want to try to replace them.
