There is terrible feedback on the H&R setup on the RS6. I have personally experienced it on a friend's RS6 back to back with my PSS9 and they were very crashy and uncomfortable by comparison. Not to mention the sagging problem. I couldn't recommend them.

I have H&R coilovers, came with the car when I bought it and they aren't the greatest.

One of the things I have marked down for this year is to replace the suspension on the car and I am leaning towards getting the Koni shocks with some aftermarket springs.

KW on mine for the record. I quite like them, no issues, not crashy, nor soft. Fully adjustable also, but were set to whatever they are now when I bought the car.

I also have nothing to compare them against :-(

I compared mine on PSS9s to my mates RS4 B7 on sports suspension+ (DRC in good working condition). We RS swapped. I was struck how similar the ride quality was. Hard to compare handling because 300kg difference.

What are folks thoughts on the kw coilovers? only asking as i have a set of stainless v2's on my mk2 golf track car and the build quality is second to none and they still look and ride as well as they did 10 years back. I already have pss9s on the Audi but always wandered if the kw's would be comparable replacement

I have no direct experience but the fact that the v3 are "too" adjustable and that you have to remove them to be able to fully adjust them put me off. Some people were drilling holes in their suspension turrets to get to the adjustments, but screw that.

Hokey-Cokey then, I’ve decided to go for the B14 Bilstein because of the huge price difference between them and fully adjustable, which (for me) would probably be over-kill. I’m running KW coilvers at the moment and shall update this thread later with feedback. Thanks all.

I’ve heard the PSS are hard, but I’ve never experienced them.

I’ll drop a PM with photos once off Billy, condition and mileage unknown as they were on the car when I bought it.

Billy_G the KW stainless kits are very resilient to corrosion and because they use a Dual tube tecknology they arent as harsh on the road as a Bilstein which exclusively use MONO tube technology .( in their performance dampers ) Mono tube shocks use hi pressure gas to function properly and this is detremental to comfort . KONI use dual tube as well, and ride exceptionally comfortble But with damping adjustability it means the customer can chose how firm they want their car to ride .
