So I'm amazed, I email SteveKen about the adapter kit, and it seems like he's always going to have the kit in stock. After speaking with him, finding the replacement starter / flywheel (which is proprietary) wouldn't be that hard to come by in the future. Went ahead and ordered his kit, and so I believe that leaves me with finding a suitable clutch and pressure plate combo. Looking for something in the 700-800 tq range, although I do plan on running the stock turbos, I'm just trying to think piece of mind here.

You can follow the build on YouTube as well.

700-800Nm?
Use the one I've got in my manual RS6.

I'm looking at no less than 620 ft-lbs. That said, the clutch you suggested is rated for 689 ft-lbs and is only $850 here in the states. I think I'll give it a shot!

Although a very different car, I have been running a SPEC Stage 3+ Clutch in my Polo Sportline TDI (makes in the region of 500nm /365ft-lbs) for about 8 years now. Very streetable and has held up.

Engine and Transmission have been removed. Now I can go ahead and seperate the transmissions from both the 4.2 and 2.7 and get it ready for the adapter kit and Spec Stage 3+ CLutch I ordered (Thanks for the input). I now have a list of everything that needs to come out of the A6 so in the next video I'll be removing all that crap. Short new video is up, in the meantime I guess it's time to start on everything I just mentioned above.

Cheers :beerchug:

What flywheel and starter motor are you using?
Probably stuff you already know:
- You'll need the A6 gearbox mounts (although it might be best to order new ones)
- A6 slave to master
- A6 prop and driveshafts
- Custom flywheel
- A6 pedalbox
- Any decent race starter with an offset gear (the smaller drive ring sits too far in for the RS6 starter)
- Wire the starter to work without the slushbox relay
- Wire in the clutch switch in
- Get the ABS, engine and gearbox ECUs to make friends without the auto gear-changes
No matter where you go, there you are.

This is the bit I am most curious about.

I'm using the SteveKen Kit. Includes a steel flywheel, custom starter, as well as the adapter plate.

The A6 had brand new 034 street density gearbox and engine mounts installed probably not even a month ago so those are going to be transferring over. My tuner has already coded out the engine mount sensors prior to the engine pull. On top of that he has done a few RS6's Manual Conversion Tunes in the past and can get everything to talk to each other without any error codes.

I've swapped in some AAN and 3B motors into Audi B3's in the past and that was a wiring nightmare, all this wiring should be cake.

Nice. Just a note, but if you're going to take the exhaust manifolds off of the RS6, be sure to check the flanges to see if they're warped. I had to have mine resurfaced at 105k

Is this something MRC would be able to over come?

Yes. The car I currently have is a C5 MRC manual RS6.

Got the 4.2 and trans separated tonight. F*ck that's not fun. Hopefully the 01e and adapter plate are a little easier to install lol.
