I don't think your timing is off enough to cause misfires. Is that with the engine at TDC?
Yes it’s at TDC and the cam lock bar is in-I’ve even pulled the spark plug out to check

Then I think your misfires are coming from somewhere else.

What is your reading in group 90?

I’ll have to put it all back together and get a reading mate as I’ve only got readings from 91 to 93

Maybe 90 is not useful in your case.

Could it be that your MAFs aren't seated correctly?

Like I said this is what it was on the reading just before I rechecked the timing

When you put the cams back in, did you turn the engine over by hand before starting it?

I think your timing isn't so far out that it would cause misfires.

Do an adaptation of your camshaft timing by going to basic settings on group 94 and following the instructions. You have to rev at just over 2000 rpm when it tells you to.

Yes I turned it over twice by hand to make sure Everything was ok.

Ok I’ll give that a go

I think if you can put the cam locking tool on then your exhaust cam timing is OK. You can confirm this by checking that the notches line up on the exhaust cams. If the inlet cam is a bit off and the number of links is correct then perhaps you just need to drive the car a bit for the timing to get back in shape. Maybe the adjusters need to sort themselves out a bit.

Doing the basic setting on group 94 and getting a success message will mean that the timing is more or less OK. Good enough for the variable valve timing to work, anyway.

I suspect that the missing is caused by something else.
