Getting a RS6 itch

Post by VoX57 » Fri Nov 30, 2018 5:02 pm

Left the fold some months ago and getting the itch.

My dream is a RS6 C5 in Riviera blue. I know there are some out there but did they do the Plus in this colour?

There was a standard RS6 advertised in this colour on here many months ago so they are about.

May have to purchase a well sorted Plus and have it resprayed.

Any comments most welcome

It’s not a standard colour so it would be an Audi Excludive option anyway. Wouldn’t surprise me if that was the only one in existence.

The challenge will be finding a good, presumably low mileage, Plus. But then will spraying it reduce its potential future value? Maybe not.

I probably wouldn't do that that to a plus - a plus is worth keeping closer to stock (+ the standard updates they all need) as they have a higher inherent value.
But a great condition non plus with a map plus the oher good stuff - making ++ than a plus - I think that would be game on.

Fully bodyshell respray?

PLus, I would not paint. Maybe a Wrap would be the better option ? Regular car I would not have an issue painting, but with the size of the car you gotta be looking at £4k and over for a decent job.
