Who’s running meth.

Post by Jayjay101 » Tue Nov 06, 2018 9:46 pm

Evening chaps-just got my self a AEM methanol kit and was wondering were people are putting the nozzle? I’m thinking about buying a second nozzle and running one on each side of the y pipe going into the inlet......

It's one hell of a drug. It'll pit your turbos. What's your source/mix from? Audi even wash? Do you dilute?
No matter where you go, there you are.

I've seen one running just like that. Will try and find a pic.
Out of curiosity - how much was the kit ??? Was thinking about meth as well

I've run plenty of cars on meth but all Japs with small engines and big turbos. Not sure how it will work on our cars with big engines and small turbos. Will be interested to see your results. As for location there are a few rules of thumb....
Don't put it before the MAF for obvious reasons...
Ideally don't put it before the intercoolers as it can collect in the bottom and cause a restriction, plus if you cool the air before the intercooler then the cooler becomes less effective...
Pre IAT sensor can be a good idea as if the engine is seeing lower temps in the intake it can allow for more power before the engine management pulls timing.
With all that mind you also want it as far from the engine as possible to allow more time for the injection fluid to mix properly with the air.
