To those present at ADI, alloys on the B7 3.0 TDI parked by Stevie Wonder have now been remedied! Collected identical second set from breakers in Bilston Wolverhampton (first pic) that had centre caps and scrap tyres, dropped all eight in for refurbishment on way home in Birmingham last Saturday, and just collected this Saturday. Very happy with results!

I could have got them from Bilston for him too, work around there a lot. Then could have got them to brum, then you could have taken over Ed.

No - they were horrific. Made worse by four different tyres on each corner..... some, er, interesting moments in the wet. One Chinese, one 2mm, one was a 2008! Only good tyre was a 4/5mm Pirelli which is now sitting on a full sized spare, binned the other three, thinking Michelin PS4 in the spring.

Breakers was Midland Car Breakers, Monmore Road, Bilston, Wolverhampton, WV1 2TZ, easy to deal with and negotiate, cheapest set by far I could find

Refurb was cheap and cheerful from City Wheel Refurbishment, Benacre Drive, Digbeth, Birmingham, B5 5RF. Proper shot blast and powder coat - but not a proper Audi paint code. They've done a good job prepping the four that were off my car, which pretty much had a 45 degree chamfer from kerbing all the way around! Guy who brought mine out and helped load them up said they sometimes do 120 wheels a day! They weren't able to box them (even if I paid extra) so I had to get the 20" cubed boxes myself, took a roll of bubble wrap, four 20" square pieces of cardboard + four old towels to sit between the pairs in each box.

Cheers for offers guys - I did a dawn raid last Saturday (set off 7:20am ish) and a McD breakfast in Bilston before breakers opened at 9am, likewise today set off about 7:30am and beat the worst of the traffic with no major issues. If I wasn't able to do two Saturdays back-to-back, I may have given you Brummies a shout though!

Nice!

Can’t guarantee they’ll make the vid this time - not as amusing

By the way - I highly recommend gtechniq wheel armour. Dirt just flies off with some sprayed on wheel cleaner and a pressure wash - rarely have to agitate.
