Did consider the Gtechniq, in the end I just went with products already in the cupboard - two base coats of Super Resin Polish (to clean them up after tyre fitment) and Extra Gloss Protection as my sealant. Rear discs and pads are Audi OEM (!) fitted immediately before Combe, fronts discs and pads are fairly newish but are patterns and seem to kick off so much dust! Did consider EBC low dust pads..... and managed to find OEM discs to match for £109...... but in the end I came to my senses and just went for grey wheels instead of silver!

I had my c5 alloys done in chrome effect at cities recently, when the sunlight isn’t on them they look a bit dull but in the sunlight they are ok, not too bling but I’d of liked them to be brighter, these wheels where horrific though, egg shaped and one had a right dink out of it, had them all straightened and a gouge welded up and they have come up ok, for £140 the powder coating isn’t bad, not really concourse but is you want that then go lepsons and pay their prices.

Just the rest of the car to sort out now.

No, a friend of a friend did them for me, a semi retired engineer in Selly Oak, he missed a big scratch that was under the paint once they where dipped and cities welded it up for me for £25 I think, so they do repairs as well, they have a bloke they use so worth giving them a call, Ron who I use works at his own pace so it can be a long wait but he will repair literally anything.
