are they going to be 200'C hot?dont think so,head covers and intake are powder coated,if the paint will come off i'll just deep them in acid and leave bare alloy, thats the last thing im worried atm
Whether it's the last thing you're worried about not won't matter, it's more about how the magnesium was paint prep'd. There's zero paint left on mine when they were painted after headwork. Others have painted too, it doesn't hang around long, so we're all interested how long your powdercoating lasts innit.
we'll see, theres 1200mile trip so if they still be gold after that,i'll be happy

Was just thinking about his - I actually can't 100% remember if it was powdercoat. I gave it to my powdercoat guy and called out to him that it was magnesium. "Leave it with me".

He might have done powdercoat, stove enamel or 2-pack.
Anyway, they're good - and regularly do jobs for https://www.pascoeinternational.com/

Austria trip is in may,i doubt i cer car all done before that,as she need few panels resprayed, doing bi-led conversion, also rear suspension is removed, all will be sand blasted n powder coated, etc etc,not in rush as got touareg vr6 for now.Why you asking?you have a feeling she can't make it?

little update,as i just bought 1st house in London im not pushing my mechanic to rush with rs6 as i'll get big bill to pay,and house need 80K to be liveable, but he do some work in spare time so i thought i would share some pic.Box is bolted with engone, starter motor working as it should,i sent some calipers to powder coaters, got my adapters ready,in the end i went for 380mm front with porsche panamera 6pots and 345 rear with 4pot off panamera and r8 hand brake.
