Replacing catalytic converters?

Just wondered is there a how to on replacing the cats on the c5 RS6 I know it’s gonna be a pain but wondered if it can be done without taking the engine out.

Yeah , it's a pain in the arse . But it can be done with the engine in situ. You lower the rear half of the subframe and box and you have just enough access too get to the downpipe bolts
