Crackles and pops !

Post by Mark-RS » Sun Sep 09, 2018 1:42 pm

Is there any way of getting crackles and pops from our cars ?

Even my VR6 crackles and pops when you lift off the go peddle, but the RS is just silent..... I had a custom exhaust built for the VR, so not sure if something similar would help the RS ? From what I have heard form the Milltek, the sound is not massively different from standard and I have not heard any crackles and pops.

I want crackles and pops dammnit ! :FIREdevil:

None resonated exhaust and just let the high displacement provide natural burbles. Or go for a decat as well for a little more. I’m sure MRC can map in the artificial noise of you want it though.

This, MRC said a couple of years ago that it could be done.

Straight pipes do it. I'd assume that removing all CATs on the OEM 'zoorsts would do the same.
My car was on a stg3 map but I don't think MRC had mapped any 'pops n bangs innit', it would just do it on the overrun, not on upshifts.

Lady_bam asked for it to be load, so she couldn't hear bam droning.

Also, Amar asked MRC if they could map in the pops and bangs, think he had race cats on his.

That’s my old Mugello Avant from when PJC has it. Don’t stare at the B&O speaker in Nige’s car, it makes you dizzy. :drink:

I'd guess it's just a fully gutted OEM system and a map. That would sound like the Dutch one in the video.
