Noice.

And 18" wheels by the look of it. Proper sleeper.

Lots of manuals around these days. Don't think I would want a manual, but I guess it's the only way to get the big power.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

Had me right up until I saw it was a manual!

Rs6=auto!!if people put the effort into making the autobox stronger as they do manual swapping we would all be better off!

I'd love to know more, interesting they're running it on a MAF. I wonder what driveshafts are on it and how reliable it is. Stunning power in old-school package, gotta love it.

Yep. Currently getting a new gearbox and clutch installed. It does 780/869 on GT30s and manual waste gate.

So even with a manual they eat gearboxes!

What manual gearbox do people generally go for on the C5 conversions?

01E S4 or RS4.
There was noise of someone using an 01X but I haven't read of anyone actually driving one. The 01E is a pretty awful gearbox, it's like trying to stir a box of watermelons with a crowbar.

The previous gearbox 'apparently' had cryo treated 5th and 6th gears. Not that it helped, 3rd gear imploded, it probably had the old brass collars not the later carbon steal versions.
This time I just sourced a 'box and had it rebuilt under instruction from MRC, not driven it yet.

What do you want a video of? A car sat on a dyno? Go back through my posts and you can probably find one or search "MRC manual RS6" on boobtoob for a very old one. I've never video'd the car, I find it a little bit too "Readers' Wives" for my liking.

I'm with you. Would have thought they would go Speed/Density at that point... Guess it depends what ECU its running.

Wideband MAFs are notoriously hard to set up and at 225HP per litre it's pretty impressive, well, to me it is.
