Well guys as per title my rs6 has decided to blow the box so debating breaking it but it all depends on the value of the engine?
Just wondering what people's thoughts were?
Ideally I want to keep the turbos as fancy a b5 s4...

Couple of grand? Depends if you can demonstrate its good working condition.

Hmm haven’t we had a few let go lately above 100k? Personally that’d put me off a used engine of that mileage.
Having said that though they’re not exactly stacked up on shelves waiting to go so I’m sure someone out there will be in a position to need one.

Have we? Failures are pretty rare.

I "blew" the engine on my first one (well, the crank shaft thrust bearings failed which was a complete re-build job) but.....
that was the result of filling the engine with water in a flood, and the water must have got to the bearings before we got it all dried out....
In my 11 years on here I can't recall any other engine failures - so evidence for your assertion please Ben_r1
