My Canadian rs6 build!
My Canadian rs6 build!
Hey everyone
Just wanted to say thank you for all the articles and replies you all post which has helped me since last august with my c5 rs6. INDIFUred it would only be fair to return the favour and share my build. I have an 03' rs6 gunmetal grey with euro alcantera interior, recaro race seats and silver/green carbon trim inside.
Mods done so far:
Kw v3 suspension
Hotchkis swaybars
Apikol cold air intake
Remap to 23psi spiking holding 18
600cc fuel injectors
3"catback exhaust turboback (kwe) and downpipes (kwe)
Custom rear brakes with hydraulic e-brake(from Quebec)
Snow performance 210 kit (installing soon)
Q7 oil cooler going in as tranny cooler
Forgestar 19" gunmetal grey medium concave
I'm sure that there's is more but we can talk about that later haha.
Took to the track where it was 35 Celsius before humidity. Ran like a dog, heatsoaked terribly, made half the boost I normally do. Ran a 12.6 at 113 with a little duck foot launch in tiptronic.
Car runs 30-70 mph in 3 seconds and 60-100 mph in 4 seconds.
I'm new here and looking forward to showing you my car and the plans we have for it!

FON.
That does look nice. Great effort.
Had similar thing with mine on the track. First run was great fun. 2nd run was about 32 degrees already and I was being overtaken by a bloody Megan RS's + couple of others I can't remember - was running really rubbish.
Also - get some pics of that intake

The RS6.com forum is back up, there are some good intake photos and builds over there - Aussie RS6 with GT30s - http://www.rs6.com/showthread.php/26650 ... ild-thread
No matter where you go, there you are.

Re: My Canadian rs6 build!
Using a 0A3 creates more options too, better clutch options and easier to find parts (mater, slaves etc). The 01E is an awful gearbox from a driver's point of view too.

Re: My Canadian rs6 build!
Ya I haven't seen one rs6 in person yet except for my beast. I live near Toronto Ontario.
I'll show you some pics of the intake, also fitted some carbon heat shields around the filters too!
I'd say overall not necessarily worth the upgrade but the induction sound is pretty sexy and it's so much easier now to take off intake quickly for anything rather than the old box which was a bitch for me

Re: My Canadian rs6 build!
My mechanic wants to get me a diesel tranny for the swap, not too sure if that is the 0A3 or not
Re: My Canadian rs6 build!
I did a little reading a while back out of interest and it seemed that the general consensus was the 0A3 was a more comfortable / smoother box. Whilst the 01E can handle the power, it's not "as nice a gearbox" from a feeling point of view to the 0A3. I haven't done the research to make a decision on what I would possibly use, if I were to ever go manual, but from that initial reading, probably the 0A3.

Re: My Canadian rs6 build!
Well we put the water/meth on last night! No time to do the Q7 oil cooler because we need to weld some fittings.
Here's some pictures, not great ones because I was helping but anyways-enjoy

Re: My Canadian rs6 build!
Thanks I'll look into that box for sure. I'm planning on putting a built 4.2 in next winter and manual swapping with some big a$$ turbos to see what I can do to this thingMeTsU wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 8:00 amI did a little reading a while back out of interest and it seemed that the general consensus was the 0A3 was a more comfortable / smoother box.
