Xenon range fault

Post by Ajc » Sun Jun 17, 2018 3:53 pm

I did my cambelt last week and a full service , however since then I seem too acquired a range control fault .I've plugged it in to VCDS, but I can't seem to get into the range control to see what the fault is . Am I missing a trick here ? . I lve checked the fuse and wiring too and around the lamps, all seems ok . Any ideas would be very welcome . Cheers Al

Module 55 IIRC.

Connect to it and use the measuring blocks to test the voltage coming back from the 2 level sensors.

If you can't connect you might have a dead module (unlikely) or wiring problem.

Cheers Ben, I'll go and plug it in now . Just seems odd that it's always been fine . Since having the car in the air I have the orange light fault on the dash and the beams don't dip and come back up when switching them on .
